FIMO International proudly concluded the International Drum Festival (IDF) 2025, a multi-day celebration of young drumming talent from across Indonesia. The event brought together education, competition, and world-class performance—marking a milestone in the region’s music festival landscape.
Masterclasses with Steve Pope: Personalized Skill-Building
Held over three consecutive days, IDF’s masterclass sessions were led by Mr. Steve Pope, a master drummer from Australia known for his international stage presence and pedagogical expertise.

Each masterclass lasted 30 minutes per session, offering hands-on coaching for young drummers in a focused, personalized format.
In-Depth Drum Workshops
In addition to masterclasses, Steve Pope also conducted two exclusive 2-hour workshops, diving deeper into rhythm structure, stage performance, and technical refinement.

Festival Day Highlights: 84 Participants Across 2 Days
Held on June 14–15, 2025 at Hublife Mall – Taman Anggrek, the competition featured 84 participants in a variety of categories. Over two full days (8 hours per day), contestants performed across two divisions: Age Category and Grading Category, showcasing both technical precision and creative expression.
The event brought together students from various schools and regions, making it one of the largest youth drum competitions in the country.
Special Performance by Steve Pope
On the second day of the competition, audiences were treated to a special live performance by Steve Pope. He performed:

- Minutes by Jacquin
The performance captivated the crowd, reinforcing the festival’s mission to inspire young talent through real-world artistry.
Awarding Day: Celebrating Excellence in Every Beat
At the end of each competition group, awards were immediately announced and celebrated. Participants received distinctions in three categories:
- Diamond Award
- Platinum Award
- Gold Award
These recognitions reflect not only technical achievement but also stage presence, musical interpretation, and growth potential.
