E-Artium Piano Competition & Festival Malaysia 2025: Celebrating Inspiring Musical Excellence

The E-Artium Piano Competition & Festival Malaysia 2025 marked another milestone for FIMO, which proudly supported and coordinated the participation of 55 rising pianists from Indonesia. Through comprehensive training, inspiring masterclasses, and world-class competition performances, FIMO helped shape a meaningful international experience that celebrated growth, artistry, and collaboration.

Held by Kunstvoll Artium Event, this prestigious festival united talented young pianists from across Asia, combining competition, education, and artistic exchange. It was held in Le Meridien Petaling Jaya for the competition venue and award ceremony, and other three different locations for the practice and masterclass sessions.

From October 18 to 20, 2025, the competition unfolded at Le Meridien Petaling Jaya, drawing participants from Malaysia, Indonesia, and neighboring countries. Representing Indonesia, FIMO’s 55-member delegation delivered passionate performances that reflected months of dedication and preparation.

The piano competition featured multiple categories tailored to various age groups and skill levels. Performances were evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges who provided insightful feedback, encouraging both technical and artistic development.

Practice Session

October 17, 2025 | Fantasia Music House, Zenith Corporate Park, and Huiling Musical Studies

Prior to the competition, FIMO proudly provided practice sessions as part of its continuous support for Indonesian participants in three different venues. Each participant was allotted 30 minutes of practice time, accompanied by parents or teachers with access to both upright and grand pianos.

This initiative allowed participants to warm up, adjust to the venue’s acoustics, and build confidence ahead of the main competition. Each practice venue became a vibrant hub of focus and preparation, where students refined their performances under the attentive guidance of their mentors.

Masterclass Session

Masterclass Session with  Dr. Poon Chiew Hwa

Along the same date, the masterclass session took place at Fantasia Music House and Zenith Corporate Park, featuring the renowned pianist and educator Dr. Poon Chiew Hwa from Malaysia. The masterclass provided one-on-one coaching, allowing each student to receive personalized feedback and interpretative guidance.

Dr. Poon’s mentorship helped participants enhance their technique, musical phrasing, and emotional expression, leaving them inspired and more confident in their artistry. It was an invaluable opportunity for young pianists to learn directly from an accomplished master.

From October 18 to 20, 2025, the main event of E-Artium Piano Competition Malaysia was held. The event drew talented participants from Malaysia, Indonesia, and other Asian countries, all eager to showcase their skills on an international stage.

Representing Indonesia, FIMO’s 55-member delegation impressed audiences and adjudicators alike with performances that reflected technical excellence and heartfelt expression. The competition featured multiple categories suited to various age levels, ensuring that every pianist had an opportunity to perform in a fair and encouraging setting.

Each performance was assessed by a panel of Honorable Adjudicators, who offered constructive feedback to help young musicians grow in both skill and confidence.
