Under the bright lights of Singapore, music once again became the universal language that connected hearts and cultures. From August 5 to September 7, 2025, the Singapore Performing Arts Festival (SPAF) transformed the city into a hub of creativity and excellence, showcasing the brilliance of young performers from across the region.
Masterclass – Personalized Musical Guidance
August 5, 2025 | Parkway Parade, Singapore
The festival opened with exclusive one-on-one masterclasses led by distinguished piano educators, Mr. Kok Ting Chong and Mr. Jimmy Lee. In these sessions, young performers received tailored instruction that went beyond technical mastery—encouraging them to explore interpretation, develop stage presence, and find the courage to tell their story through music.
Practice Sessions – Refining Skills Before the Stage

Practice rooms equipped with upright and grand pianos were made available for participants, offering 30-minute sessions with their teacher or parent. These moments of preparation ensured every pianist walked into the competition with confidence and clarity.

The piano workshop was conducted by Mr. Kok Ting Chong, and the drum workshop was conducted by Mr. Jimmy Lee.
Competition Days – Excellence in Performance
September 6–7, 2025 | The Arts House, Singapore
For two days, The Arts House resonated with rhythm and melody as young musicians showcased their artistry. From Indonesia, around 110 pianists and 20 drummers took the stage, each performance reflecting discipline, passion, and the universal language of music.
Award Ceremony – Honoring Achievement

Awards were presented immediately after each category, celebrating the dedication of participants and acknowledging the artistry they brought to the international stage.
Gala Concert – A Triumphant Finale

The festival concluded with a dazzling Gala Concert featuring selected Gold Star Award winners. Among them, 9 Indonesian participants—7 pianists and 2 drummers—delivered captivating performances, leaving the audience with a final, unforgettable impression of SPAF 2025.
